English job interview practice

A clear answer does not need complicated English. Connect your experience to the role, choose one real example, and leave room for a conversation.

Start interview practice

Your turn

An interviewer says, "Tell me a little about yourself."

Cover your experience, a strength, and what you want next.

Example answer

I have two years of experience in customer service. I enjoy solving problems and working with people. I'm looking for a role where I can take on more responsibility.

Your turn

Describe a time you solved a problem at work or while studying.

Use three parts: the problem, your action, and the result.

Example answer

A customer received the wrong item. I checked the order, arranged a replacement, and kept them updated. They thanked us for resolving it quickly.

Your turn

Ask the interviewer a question about the role.

Ask something specific about the work or team.

Example answer

What would success look like in the first three months? I would also like to know how the team works together.

Make it natural

Make the example yours

Replace the sample experience with something true from work, study, or volunteering. Choose three points to remember instead of memorising every word. A short pause is better than rushing into an answer you did not mean.
